Smokinn is a FREAK - he is a MONSTER stopper with a huge burst of run- and he is a TOTAL outcross to breed to! He offers an exceptional blend of modern bloodlines with outstanding bone, substance and athleticism! Smokinn has shown tons of grit and talent in the NRCHA, SRCHA, as well as AQHA World Heading and Tie-Down, and has been running competitively in Oklahoma 1D Barrel Races with Pete Oen. He is a true all around athlete and a tremendously kind-hearted horse.
Background;
Smokinn was origanally started by Justin Cunningham as a two year old, and spent his entire three year old year with Chris Dawson. Chris was a SRCHA and NRCHA OPEN FINALIST with Smokinn! Chris Dawson was the first to say this horse is a freak of nature down the fence - he can run and stop more than any horse he'd ever had!
As a four year old, he went to Gary Wells where he was roped on. In 2020 he was a finalist in the AQHA World Junior Tie-Down Roping and was 4th in the Level 2. He has Points in the Heading, Tie-Down Roping, and Working Cow Horse.
Smokinn spent most of 2021 with Tyson Benson getting finished in the bridle. In 2022 we went to Pete Own to start on barrels. He showed lots of talent there by pulling checks and running in the tough 1D Oklahoma jackpots before changing owners.
2023
Smokinn will continue showing AQHA Heading and Heeling, shown by Steve Orth! Then later in the year he will be going to Haven Meged to be shown in the tie-down roping!
